2nd Annual Elected Members Online Show
The HVAA Board of Directors is pleased to announce our second on-line exhibition for HVAA Elected Artist Members.
Here is everything that you need to know:
Who can submit?
All HVAA Elected Artist members.
You must be an Elected Member of HVAA and your dues must be current.
There is an additional $10 fee to enter the show.
What is an Elected HVAA Member?
Artists who have been in three recent HVAA National Exhibitions will be considered for membership. Then, your name will be submitted to the Board of Directors for vote on your Elected Membership. If you receive a majority vote, you will get a signed letter from the President that congratulates you on your membership.

When will submissions take place?
Beginning November 1st and ending on November 31st.
How do I submit?
If you are an Elected Member, you will receive your dues notice via e-mail in a few days. Look for the e-mail from “Hudson Valley Art Association”. In the e-mail, clicking on the provided link leads you to a form that allows you to pay your dues. If you wish to submit to the on-line exhibition, click YES in the appropriate box and another form will open.
What artwork is acceptable?
Recent work not previously shown in an HVAA exhibition; no size restrictions; framing not required; one piece per artist; work does not have to be for sale or in your possession.
What should the submitted image look like?
For two-dimensional artwork, please include the entire image, without mat, frame, or background. For three-dimensional artwork, please allow the piece to fill most of the image area.
What is the cost of entry?
$10
Are there awards?
First place is $500
Second place is $250
Third place is $125
We will also award and three Honorable Mentions.
All awards will be listed along with the images of the award-winning pieces on our website.
What about sales?
Sales will be between the artist and the collector, and HVAA will not be taking a commission.
When will the on-line exhibition be viewable?
On or about December 15.

The Awards Ceremony for the 92nd National Annual Juried Show
The awards ceremony was held on June 14th from 5 - 7 pm at the Lyme Art Association. Here is a recording in case you missed it.
Our History
Founded in 1928, The Hudson Valley Art Association is a National organization for representational painting, drawing, and sculpture. Started in the studio of Hudson River School painter, Jasper Cropsey.
National Juried Exhibition
Each year we host our national juried exhibition. The show typically runs for 6 weeks in Old Lyme, CT at the Lyme Art Association. We award over 17,000 in prizes. Last year we had over 400 submissions and accepted 168 pieces of art.
